These sessions were an invaluable part of my preparation. Beyond our in-person meetings, Neomi was always available by phone, chat, or email. This accessibility allowed me to ask questions and receive advice quickly whenever I needed it. She also went above and beyond by arranging an acupuncture session at my request and assisting with short trips during late pregnancy. Her support was consistent and heartfelt.When labor began, Neomi was immediately available and arrived well prepared with all the necessary materials. She accompanied me to the hospital and stayed with us throughout the entire 20-hour labor. During this time, she provided moral support to both me and my partner, assisted with pain management techniques and guided short meditations, all of which were invaluable in managing the exhaustion of labor. Neomi also communicated with the hospital staff on my behalf and helped create a calm, comforting atmosphere in the hospital room that made it feel like home.After the birth, Neomi arranged a follow-up session to reflect on my labor experience. She listened attentively as I shared my feelings and emotions, helping me process and integrate my birth story.
As a postpartum doula, she continued to provide exceptional care, helping me establish a simple newborn routine including baths, diaper changes, and sleep. Her support with breastfeeding was especially important. Although I experienced some complications at first, with Neomi’s guidance I was able to successfully establish exclusive breastfeeding. She was also attentive to my emotional well-being, checking in through online chats, home visits, and walks whenever I needed support.Overall, I feel incredibly privileged to have been Neomi’s first client as a doula. She is a deeply caring and dedicated professional who genuinely prioritizes the well-being of mothers, babies, and families. I hope that many more new mothers will have the opportunity to benefit from her wonderful care.
